hack-it 2002
This year the italian hacker meeting, hack-it 2002 was helt in Bologna.
The speechs covered various topics from microcontrollers, over digital music, e-privacy to womenkind&computers.
One highlight was a speech of Richard Stallman about "Copyright vs Community in the
Age of Computer Networks". A transkript or an
audio-file of the speech are available in the web.
The meeting took place in the teatro polivalente occupato (occupied theatre, a former
porn cinema), which did certainly not reduce the flair of the event.
The motto of the meeting was: "A hacker is someone who wants to govern himself and his own life, and who knows how to fight for this.
Even if he hasn't seen a computer in his whole life."
